There is something in our society that determines what makes a man. These stereotypes are typical in most cultures and seem to be very similar to each other. For example, a lot of cultures believe that a man should have a good solid job and make a lot of money. The more money a man makes, the more worth he has in the eyes of society. There are also stereotypes that men need to be strong and tall. It is typical to let men do whatever they want when it comes to making time for themselves and make time to go to the gym or do anything that allows them to be active because that is a role they need to fulfill in society. There is another stereotype that men are typically more players when it comes to dating, and there seems to be a sort of excuse that men or allows to be dating multiple women at the same time and it just is a nod to their charisma and charm, but when a woman dates multiple men at the same time, you will typically see a lot of judgement and snide remarks. However, not all stereotypes need to be macho or archaic. There are also stereotypes that men are more sensitive than women, but sadly are made to feel that they need to hide their feelings or not show their emotions on their sleeve. We have found, after many generations, that this is not good for a man to feel the pressure of stereotypes and having to be emotionless for themselves, but also the people and women around them. The more we break down these stereotypes and old fashioned and stuffy rules, we can finally begin to heal these generational wounds and start coming together as a loving and respectful society. It is still no surprise that if a man has troubles with urination, he can feel not only ashamed for himself, but for his image as a man as well.
